Lynn H. Roberts founded globotext in 1990. She has extensive experience in multicultural and multi-language publishing, content development and translation/localization.
Patricia Canary is partner in strategic management and new business development for globotext with emphasis on multicultural communications and custom content following many years of experience in key senior management and consulting roles. Formerly Vice President for a major global news and communications company, she developed and managed the firm’s Multicultural Business Department in the United States and established its news and sales bureaus in Latin America including staffing and managing operations in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. A graduate of Baylor University with a B.A. degree in Journalism and Public Relations and the Cornell University Executive Development Program, she has extensive experience in professional writing; public relations; crisis management; radio and television announcing and interviewing; advertising; marketing; public speaking; strategic corporate expansion both through internal development and acquisitions; establishing and enhancing product, marketing and corporate identification in domestic and international markets, and consulting in the areas of domestic and international communications strategies. Born in Peru to American parents, she is fluent in Spanish and English with a working knowledge of Portuguese. Widowed and living in Tarpon Springs, Florida, Patricia also makes time to volunteer at The Hospice. She also recently served on the board of directors of the Greater Pinellas Literacy Council.
As Director of Marketing, Silvia Clarke oversees hemispheric business development for globotext. Silvia has lead sales, marketing and business development efforts in both the U.S. Hispanic and Latin America markets for 20 years. As a multi-cultural specialist in these markets, her corporate roles with major global commercial news organizations have allowed her to establish strategic partnerships with regional media and multinational businesses. In the course of her career, she has been responsible for creating operational procedures, managing editorial functions and supervising overall quality control. She has managed hemispheric media relations, negotiated distribution agreements with major regional news agencies and managed those strategic partnerships. A graduate of Florida International University with a communications degree, Silvia was born in Cuba and raised in the U.S. She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and speaks Portuguese.
A linguist par excelence, Aurora created and administers N. de T. a free and international forum for professional translators (www.ndet.org <http://www.ndet.org>). She speaks and teaches in many language conferences and online fora focusing on linguistic challenges, translations as bridges to understanding and the nature of multicultural globalization trends. Her background includes extensive experience as in-house editor and translator for financial, banking and marketing organizations. She has degrees from the University of Buenos Aires and the Fundación Litterae-Fundeu and she has completed undergraduate studies in Advertising (Universidad de Ciencias Sociales y Empresariales) and Marketing (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa), and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Translation from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Michael Zitaglio brings to globotext a wide range of skills in web publishing, data management and translation logistics. His background includes creating and localizing corporate websites, online sales and distribution centers, and a digital photography service agency.
He is active in U.S.-based Humane Societies. Mike has a background in commercial audio editing for radio as well as creative magazine design. His language interests and studies include Spanish, French, Pre-Columbian culture, and Middle Kingdom Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Leticia Monge manages Logistics for globotext. She is currently finishing a degree in Publishing at the University of Buenos Aires. Leticia has been creating and managing blogs, digital magazines and online content on subjects ranging from art, illustration, theater, political commentary and photography since 2003. Her background includes translation (English/Spanish), proofreading and style correction. Leticia is a published author and has two music CDs to her credit.
